Message from Mrs. Gurga
It’s a busy day for Fairview! Our sixth graders are spending the day and evening at Nature’s Classroom in Wisconsin. They’re going to have a blast participating in outdoor team-building and educational activities! Our fifth graders are taking a morning field trip to Feed My Starving Children to hand-pack meals for malnourished children. This afternoon we will attend an assembly to meet and listen to children’s book author, Jim Aylesworth. Look for pictures of these fun activities on Fairview’s Facebook page over the next few days. See the link at the bottom of this email for our Facebook page and for the PTA website.
It’s the time of year where I’m reminded of all that I have to be thankful for. Every day I write three gratitudes in a journal to remind myself to focus on the positive things in my life. Coming up with three different gratitudes daily is no longer challenging for me as I have begun to notice the small things that make me smile! I’d love to hear about your gratitudes!
Today, I’m thankful for the Fairview staff who work hard to plan for and provide the best learning environment for our students. Secondly, I’m grateful for the children who stream through the door every day with smiles on their faces, ready to put forth their best effort to achieve their goals. My third gratitude is for the Fairview families who work with us as partners and support their children academically, socially, and emotionally so they can be the best that they can be!
