Dear Fairview Families,
I have two quick reminders for you! Every Wednesday students are dismissed at 2:30PM, so please remind whomever picks up your child to be here at 2:30PM tomorrow.
Also, we will host Curriculum Night tomorrow, Wednesday, August 29. The evening begins at 6:15PM with a Welcome from the Principal and information from the PTA. At 6:35PM, classroom teachers will give curriculum presentations, with an identical presentation at 7:10PM. Grade 5-6 will present in the gym. For all other grade levels, your child’s teacher will let you know where they will present. Most teachers present with another teacher, so you may not be in your child’s classroom.
For parents of fifth and sixth graders, there will be a Chromebook presentation in the library at 7:10PM and again at 7:40PM. It is important that at least one parent/guardian attend because students will bring their Chromebooks home with them this year.
Tomorrow will be a very special Curriculum Night as you learn about how we will Spread the Spark at Fairview this year. For the past two years, the entire district has attended professional development around how we can increase our success and overall well-being by making happiness a priority. We will have information to share with you on Curriculum Night! On Thursday, the oldest child in each family will bring home a book – The Orange Frog – which includes a Family Reading Guide. Please note that if the oldest child in your family is at Mead or Keller, he/she will bring the book home on September 12 at their Curriculum Night.
We look forward to seeing everyone tomorrow evening!
Mrs. Gurga Ms. Frederick
