Fairview School offers many before-school, after-school and during lunch clubs and activities.
Here are the clubs for the 2025-26 school year. Scroll down to see the different grade-level clubs that are available.
For more information, please email the sponsors of each club – permission slips will be sent home closer to the start day of the club.
Students will learn basic sign language skills, such as the alphabet, numbers and so on.

Students will learn how to fold papers to create origami artwork, such as animals and flowers.

Club Unify is a state-wide club that is part of Project UNIFY, a Special Olympics education and sports-based program that promotes respect through sports. Project UNIFY strives to build an inclusive environment among youth with and without disabilities, as well as empowering them to be leaders and agents for change. Club Unify’s purpose is to introduce students to Special Olympics and let them experience the fun of cheering for the athletes, all with a goal of helping them take the lead in building an atmosphere of respect and trust in schools and communities. Our club’s focus is respect and inclusion. We are learning about different disabilities and we are looking forward to an end of the year field trip where we join up with all the clubs within the district for a Sports Day.
Students will be nominated by teachers.

Let’s get outside & get some steps after school! Grab a buddy for a chat while you walk or just enjoy the scenery as we walk around the neighborhood.

Calling all kindergarten students who love creating crafts! Join your kindergarten teachers and friends on Thursday mornings to make new friends and get creative!

Battle of the Books is for 1st and 2nd grade students. Students are responsible for reading a given book list of 10 books throughout the duration of the club. At each meeting, the students listen to a read aloud from one of the listed books. Then, they practice battling each other with an interactive quiz system. The questions are submitted by the students. They will eventually battle each other to determine the top team from the school and that team will go on to a district battle.

Students across the district read 12 books. Throughout the year, we will participate in battles at Fairview (answering questions about all of the books) to determine which 3 students will represent Fairview at the district battle!

Students will meet in the spring to learn about plant life cycle, starting seeds, soil, and gardening techniques! Come get your hands dirty and have some fun.

A club for students who speak more than one language to play games, talk, and eat together to help strengthen relationships and language skills.

Running club will work on forming healthy running habits!
Thursdays 3-4pm September – October
Students will learn how to knit, purl and follow a pattern. We will create washcloths, scarfs and hats for newborn babies. Students in Knitting Club last year will have the option to join the Advanced Group.

Are you ready for some friendly competition? Let’s have some old school fun with Board Games! Join Board game club for some fun competition with your friends. Learn to play new games or get to play the classics! Have fun with your friends away from technology and join board game club this year!

Are you ready to test your math problem solving skills? During lunch/recess you will be given practice problems to see if you are up for the challenge! Once a month will be a contest and your scores will be submitted to the Math Olympiad program.
Second Half of the Year: Lunch/Recess – twice a month

Students will work together to learn more about different cultures and groups of people and their contributions to our world. Meetings will include research, discussion, creating monthly displays and developing ways to share this information with other Fairview Falcons. Students will also work with newcomer students to help make connections and feel welcome.
Lunch and Recess : 2-3 days per month
Students are paired up to play chess competitively. Students need to know already how to play.

Student leaders help support the PBIS program. We provide videos and slides to teach the 3 Bs and 8 Keys to the students of Fairview. Student leaders also assist with the Falcon Forums and other school wide events.

Production Studio is a great place to learn all things media! Students will run live video announcements to Fairview School and community once a week. Learn how to use a teleprompter, Control Board, Sound, and more!
