Fairview School offers many before-school, after-school and during lunch clubs and activities.

Students will make fun and holiday crafts, learn new dances with fun videos
Tuesdays @ 7:45-8:30am; Sept – May
In this club, first graders will learn about friendship and being a good friend by playing games, reading stories, and doing kindness activities. Students will bring their lunch to the club and may meet outside when weather permits.
First Thursday of every month @ 11:30-12:15pm
Students will be able to showcase their talents either in person or virtually. Fairview’s really Got Talent! This club allows students to showcase their unique talents virtually/in-person to the Fairview community.

Students will learn basic sign language skills, such as the alphabet, numbers and so on.

Do you enjoy reading? Are you good at remembering the details of a book? Are you just a little bit competitive? Do you work well with others? Join us for Battle of the Books! Students will read 10 books and practice writing and answering questions about the books in preparation for a competition in the Spring!
Wednesdays @ 11:45-12:30pm (lunchtime); October-April
Students will meet in the spring to learn about plant life cycle, starting seeds, soil, and gardening techniques! Come get your hands dirty and have some fun.

3rd and 4th grade students will have the opportunity to learn and explore with different mediums used to create 2-dimensional and 3-Dimensional works of art.

Students will learn songs and dances to put on a music revue at the end of the club

This club is a great opportunity for students to engage in various dance styles through short choreographed numbers, Zumba classes, and warm ups. No dance experience is required, this is just for fun!
Every other Tuesdays @ 3:00-3:45; starting Sept 6
Calling all scientists and engineers! Are you interested in learning about the Scientific Method or Engineering Design Process? In STEM fair you will get the opportunity to create your own project using either the scientific method or engineering design process. Get excited to compete and present your project to judges. Lessons will be held to teach students the steps of completing the tasks with Check-ins along the way and an Award Ceremony to conclude the Stem Fair.
Thursdays; 7:45-8:30am OR 11:45-12:30pm; Jan – April
Students will have the opportunity to learn how to code and practice their coding skills through an online program called Code.org and Scratch. If your child enjoys using their Chromebook and wants to practice their coding skills, this club is for them!

Girls on the Run focuses on building social, emotional and physical skills in girls while encouraging healthy habits for life. The season comes to an end with a joyful and fun non-competitive 5K.

Students will learn how to knit, purl and follow a pattern. We will create washcloths, scarfs and hats for newborn babies. Students in Knitting Club last year will have the option to join the Advanced Group.

Learn to play new games or get to play the classics! Some games include: Jenga, trouble, monopoly, life, clue, uno, and many more! Have fun with your friends away from technology and join board game club this year!

In this club, we will play games to practice improvisation, practice skits and monologues, and practice basic movement skills.

The student leadership team helps support our PBIS program at Fairview. Student Leaders work to promote the 3 Bs and 8 Keys of Excellence. We create videos to help provide students a model of these behaviors. We also help support service projects at Fairview. Students also help with various PBIS activities such as making orange frogs and maintaining the SOW bulletin board.

Students will learn rhythms and songs in order to perform in a showcase at the end of the club

5th and 6th graders will help lead the school store for the whole school. Students will gain insight into how to be leaders for the school, problem solve, and work together. We welcome students who are responsible, problem solvers, and ready to be team players.
