Coin Drive for the Kids Heart Challenge

From February 9–23, School District 54 schools will be hosting a Coin Drive in support of the American Heart Association’s Kids Heart Challenge. This optional fundraiser helps support heart health education and research that benefits children and families nationwide. During this time in Physical Education, students will be participating in jump rope activities, learning about the importance of having a healthy heart, staying active, and developing heart-healthy habits they can use every day. Students who choose to participate may bring in coins or bills, which will be collected by their PE teacher. Participation is completely optional, and there is no expectation for students to donate. Thank you for supporting our efforts to promote movement, wellness, and kindness within our school community!  The goal for Fairview is to raise $1000.  If we meet our school goal Mr. Hawkins has volunteered to shave his head!

 Here’s how it works

  1. Students may bring in coins or bills to school starting February 9, through February 23.
  2. Your student’s PE Teacher will be collecting the coins and bills.
  3. All donations will go to the American Heart Association
